nonsensical demarcation

This page shows my availability and working style. 1

I'm actively seeking projects on the Internet Freedom Space:

I’m eager to take on projects like these both now and in the future. If you’re working on something similar, let's connect! Just schedule a time with me and I'd be happy to help shape a project proposal together.

The project could take many forms. It may involve delivering a set of specific outcomes, or I can work alongside your team, providing guidance in key moments.

My working style

Foundation & Motivation

Great results

My value to your organization lies in what I can tangibly deliver—everything else is just bluff or theoretical musings. Therefore it's essential to align our expectations for the project and clearly define what needs to be achieved. I believe what gets us there will be honesty and open communication.

Project within a project

I see every project as an opportunity to grow. Dan Mall articulated this idea of finding a project within a project because he doesn't seem to love the projects he works on. In my case, I have enjoyed and loved most of the projects I have worked on in this space because they are aligned with the change I'd like to see in the world. Though I still look for a project within a project as I believe that the only way to improve hard or soft skills is by consciously doing them. So, challenge me and help me grow as this is something I'm actively looking for.

Adapting

One of my goals is meeting you where you are to go where we need to go. Projects are often tangled with expectations outside of it, deadlines, pressures, and emotions. Therefore the clearer I am about expectations, needs, and challenges you are faced with, the better the work and how we would go about doing the work. The key word in the last sentence is: we. When working together, we become partners, as work is a human endeavor and it's rarely just about a mechanic process.

What I Do

Research

There's something very appealing about figuring out what is true in the world. I love doing research, especially qualitative research. I find it very satisfying when patterns start to emerge and when the horizon begins to clarify. I also like the type of clarity quant methods provide, they seem to cut through noise easily. Anyway, I have experience with both (they are equally powerful), we just need to find out how and when to use them.

Specific activities I have experience with:

UX Design

I have always thought that doing design nurtures a positive attitude towards the future, of what is possible. Therefore it must be grounded in reality. I work closely with the engineering team and read all the research you've got so far to be able to propose a vision that aligns with what needs to exist. I see the role of the designer as a catalyst of conversations that have been put off and new ones that need to happen.

Specific activities I have experience with:

Communication

Because every project and human is different, I believe it is crucial to be mindful about the rhythm we should have in the different phases of the project. In the beginning there might be more back and forth as I'm getting to know you and trying to understand the expectations about the project.

Having said this, I hope you feel comfortable sharing whatever you feel needs to be shared: emotions, concerns, thoughts, ideas. We can communicate through Signal, email, Slack, Discord, Mattermost, IRC, etc. wherever makes sense.
